One of my favourite things about scripture is that it always
shows me how I’m supposed to live.
If I need to know how I’m supposed to speak I can look at
how Jesus spoke to people and I can read verse after verse about speech..
If I want to know how to fast, I can look at what Jesus said.
If I don’t quite understand what it means to forgive, I can
follow the example Jesus shared.
And the list goes on . . .
There are tons of ways that I can look into the Bible and
see exactly how God wants me to live my life. It’s not moralistic or legalistic. I'm motivated by my genuine and passionate, sincere and growing, deep and real, love for
Christ.
