I've been trying to evaluate how I see God.
Do I see Him as a god with a scepter?
Inflicting control.
Or do I see God as a shepherd with a staff?
A shepherd who does everything He does so that the sheep are safe.
And sometimes that means pushing them.
I want to see Him correctly.
And in order to see God correctly I need to look to His word.
And in that word I find Him.
Never as a god holding a magic wand.
Always as the One True God, orchestrating all things to work together for my good and His glory.
